Radiation Oncology Victoria treatment planning

GenesisCare is actively engaged in the training and development of its staff across its radiation therapy network, including but not limited to participation in the:

  • Medical Physics Registrar TEAP program,
  • Radiation Therapists NPDP program,
  • Radiation Oncologist Registrar program, and
  • Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programs for our respective AHPRA registered health professionals (Radiation Therapists, Nurses & Radiation Oncologists)

This commitment to student training is evidenced by our established links with University programs throughout Australia, including:

  • RMIT: Department of Applied Physics, Radiation Therapist training program and Physicist research programs
  • Monash: Medical student training, Radiation Therapist training program, Prostate cancer registry
  • Melbourne University – lecturing of medical students
  • Charles Sturt University, Wagga – new radiation therapist course
  • University of Western Australia – Registrar training program and Medical Physics training program
  • Monash University – Radiation Therapist training program

These relationships ensure that GenesisCare has access to a well-trained workforce that will meet service the service growth requirements of the communities in which we provide care our specialist care.

Whilst the commitment to CPD programs is nurtured and facilitated to provide staff with necessary and sought after opportunities and experiences. Of note is the:

  • Ongoing attendance and presentations at both domestic and international conferences
  • Development of company based in servicing programs, and
  • Clinical trial involvement undertaken by GenesisCare staff and respective departments
