About the centre
The centre at Ringwood was established in 1995; the second centre established following East Melbourne (EMROC) in 1991.
The centre is located on the ground-floor of the Ringwood Private Hospital.
We have strong links with the on-site specialists at Ringwood Private. We are also closely linked with the private hospitals: Epworth Eastern, Mitcham Private, Knox Private, and the public hospitals: Maroondah Hospital, the William-Angliss Hospital, and Box Hill Hospital.
We have 2 matched Varian 21IX linear accelerators (treatment machines) on site which we deliver conformal radiotherapy to all patients. We also have implemented an IMRT program (intensity modulated radiotherapy) available for cancer patients, particularly prostate cancer. Also for patiets undergoing prostate radiotherapy, treatment accuracy has been enhanced with our gold-seed program.
Where are we located
We are along Mount Dandenong Road, the closest major intersection is Mount Dandenong Road and Maroondah Highway.
